Wednesday Food

Pretty succesful day and its getting easier and easier each day to stay on track I think. When I first started I was always tempted to go off but now that I see the weight is coming off, I am successful its so rewarding and I see my goal is within reach even if I still do have quite a ways to go, its a lot closer now then when I started

I was going to run today but my legs started getting kind of sore during our walk so I just kind of took it easy. Maybe I took it up a notch too quickly, who knows. I know my body does need a day off for rest I havent taken a day off in I think maybe 2 weeks Im loving walking and exercising and am getting a little too addicted..haha!

Other than that cant wait for weigh in on Friday I think for my weigh in Ill definitely be in the 170's even if it is in the top part!! Just to prove my body really does like more food yesterday I eat a little less (just wasnt as hungry) and this morning I was up .3 lbs...crazy...so Im kind of testing it out again to see how the scales are tomorrow and if so I may try taking a bigger lunch or breakfast because I really dont like to eat a ton in the afternoon.

This morning as I was walking through to work they had one of the ladies that I pass daily stop me and she has no clue Im even trying to lose weight but anyway she said you are really looking great you look like you have lost a good bit of weight, have you? I of course said

Wow whats up with all the comments, Im not complaining one bit but two days in a row..wow its all the motivation I need to keep on trucking!!

Tuesday Food

Today I almost had the same exact menu, its kind of scary how much they were alike, guess I liked what I had the day before;)

My victory for the day..running...Ive been trying to easily work my way up little by little and before today my longest run was maybe 2 minutes, well today I ran more like 5-6 minutes I was so proud of myself for making my mark and making it a little further (even if Im still slow as Christmas...lol )but you have to start somewhere and Im just proud Ive actually kept it up and hopefully before too long Ill be able to run the entire way or even heck at this point half way would be nice

Other victory (boy dont I have many today..Im loving it though!) I tried on a pair of pants that I had not worn since last summer and they were huge on me I couldnt wear them because they were falling off my butt. Those same pants is what got me started too because it forced me into a 16 when I had been in a comfortable 14. So it was great to see that those same pants didnt even come close to fitting (ok fitting but falling off!). Im now in a size 12 and they are getting too big but a 10 is too small so hopefully before too long Ill be fitting in those and they will be too big! The only bad/good thing about losing is that all my summer capris and fun stuff are too big so now I guess Ill have to go shopping, oh what a shame..haha!

Monday Food

Yesterday was a pretty successful day I think Im having more luck getting in about 30 pts (after exercise) even though according to WW Im supposed to be at 24 it just doesnt seem like my body does well on that little amount of food.

So my find of the evening was the Italian Herb Flat out wraps (thanks Carolyn for the recommendation!) I got these the other day but had not tried them out yet and wow these were wonderful! I actually put mine in the toaster got it a little crispy and put some chicken salad on it and wow amazing..yum!!

Then this morning one of my co-workers who is also trying to lose weight commented how great I look and she goes wow you look amazing you are so skinny so it made my morning for sure. Nothing better and more motivating for people to comment on your appearance!

Scale Victory!

I just had to say my small little victory. I didnt do too bad this weekend a little over pts but not too bad. I seem to do better when I eat about 6-8 pts over and anyway this morning I weighed myself (always weigh on Monday to see how bad it is..lol ) and was at 179.2 which finally brings me into the 170's...yeah!
So my weekend totals were:
Saturday
Calories: 1526
WW Pts: 32
Sunday
Calories: 1788
WW Pts: 38
Grand total of 1 hr and 45 minutes of working out too...yeah!! For some odd reason my body is losing more eating more, how odd is that. Ive had more success eating more food then eating less. I still have to fluctuate eating maybe 2 days a little more, 1 day less, etc. but it seems to be working pretty well!

Friday Food

I was shocked when I put everything in because I did not think I ate my points but didnt realize I had this much or what I ate was THIS bad, but hey live and learn. I sure wouldnt have eaten that ice cream sandwich had I input all this stuff before but oh well its all good.

Bad part was I had 113 g of sugar...wow not good and then 3451 mg of sodium...yeah that will add some weight for sure so need to watch that big time

Weigh-In

So this morning I weighed in and was at 180.5 so thats a 1.7 lb loss for this week!! So I was pretty excited to see that number! Of course it did make me thing Im almost in the 170's and wow I cant even tell you how long its been since Ive seen that so I cant wait!!

That makes a total of 27 lbs and I had a goal of losing 1.1 lbs every week which would put me at 139 by December 14, 2007 and that just means Im .3 over my goal so I should be at 180.8 if I set it exactly at my goal and Im at 180.5 so that has made my day for sure!!

I still cant believe I have accomplished losing 27 lbs thats more than I have ever lost and its thanks to all the wonderful feedback and support I get from you girls..thanks again yall are wonderful!!

Randomn Stuff

Just thought I would answer a few questions...Stress has been a major, major thing lately with me due to some major changes in this thing called life but I mean who doesnt get stressed out at some point in time..life happens and as much as we can try to say we dont get stressed often it happens! When I get super duper stressed I just wont eat I dont know what it is I used to be just the opposite but now I think sometimes I can make myself so stick to my stomach that food just isnt what I want. Before and why I probably had gained some weight is I would seriously sit in front of the TV and just eat until well I almost made myself sick. Now I get up, go for a walk until I feel better its such a greater stress reliever and it really does help. If you dont want to go for a walk do some sort of exercise it has helped me not be the same sit in front of the TV and snack, snack because what do you really get out of that except to just feel worst more than likely? Do something good for yourself!!

For the Blog for now I plan on staying put I probably wont move just simply because I really don’t want to go about setting up everything again but don’t worry if I do change my mind I will be sure to post it here.

Here is also a very interesting article that was emailed to me this morning from yep Sparkpeople.com..enjoy!
How to Identify Weight Loss Scams

If you have any other secrets that you want to share on stress please feel free I would love to hear what you do for stress!

Food Recommendations for the week!

This week was more eating out than ever so I have a ton of recommendations from restaurants
Sonic Peach Iced Tea
WW Pts: 0
If you are wanting a good drink from Sonic get this, has a fabulous flavor and only 5 calories..SCORE! If anyone hasn’t figured out my love for sweet tea then yep I have a huge one. This has just the right blend of sweetness a little extra flavor and well for 5 calories how can you really beat it?!
Chili's Seasonal Steamed Veggies with Parmesan Cheese
WW Pts: 1
This was absolutely amazing flavor. It was steamed and then had just a hint of parmesan cheese on it, delicious!
Taco Bell Cinnamon Twists
WW Pts: 3
I love some cinnamon twists but honestly thought they were fried with lots of grease and would have way too many pts but nope I was pleasantly surprised!
Nabisco Strawberry Newtons Minis
WW Pts: 3
These are packed with delicious flavor and are baked with 100% whole grain. These are a perfect little snack to get a little good stuff + a little sweet tooth as well. They also have the fig ones as well in the mini packs.
Chili's Mexican Rice
WW Pts: 3 or 4 pts
This had a really good flavor and Im usually not a big fan of rice but this had a few veggies mixed in and cooked in some type of broth maybe but anyway very good.
Taco Bell Spicy Chicken Soft Taco
WW Pts: 4
I never really thought I could eat at Taco Bell for only 7 pts and get both a taco and a side item but I have discovered it. This soft taco is delicious and if you are a fan of spicy then yep this is it! Try the cinnamon twists with it for only 3 pts and you have a complete meal for only 7 pts.
Chili's Firecracker Tilapia
WW Pts: 6
For the entire thing it was 6 pts but I cut it in half and had two servings of it. This was cooked on a plank and really awesome flavor. It had lime on the side and was delicious to be squeezed on top..yum!!
Healthy Choice Blackened Chicken
This was the nastiest dinner I think Ive ever had, don’t buy it. I really hated Healthy Choice dinners and haven’t bought one in ages but thought hey maybe they have gotten better but this has just solidified that obviously not. It seriously tasted like rubber..nasty! I think this has told me to stay away from Healthy Choice dinners, never was a fan of them and never will be.

A pretty successful day, not too bad. I know I went over pts but I guess Im not so focused on my pts but trying to stay in the calorie range more so I guess.

Also I went to Wendys tonight thinking oh that salad cant be that bad with FF ranch...wow its a lot more than I thought it was going to be. I should have just gotten that spicy chicken sandwich I was craving for about the same pts with all the croutons, dressing and such I actually would have came out better.

Did anyone else see that Roni (www.weightwatchen.com) has opened up the blogs part of her site. I signed up for one but Im not sure which one Ill use but Ill be sure to let everyone know if I do change over to it. I really love all the support I get here for sure:)

Oh well no biggie hopefully tomorrow will be a good WI Im hoping

Quotes

I love finding great quotes and if you havent been over to sparkpeople yet they have a great little section with lots of them. I added a rotating quote to the bottom which will update everyday and change. I wish I could make it a tad smaller but ahh it will work for now. I cant wait to see the great quotes each day that it will change to. So anyway here is a few that I thought I would add this morning, Enjoy!

“The best inspiration is not to outdo others, but to outdo ourselves.”

“Inspiring people are vitamins for our spirits. They come in all kinds of disguises and descriptions. If you open your heart to being inspired, they will appear.”

“There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs.”

“I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.”

“The minute you start talking about what you're going to do if you lose, you have lost.”

“I can’t imagine a person becoming a success who doesn’t give this game of life everything he’s got.”

“Success is going from failure to failure without a loss of enthusiasm.”

“If you spend too much time working on your weaknesses, all you end up with is a lot of strong weaknesses.”

“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

Progress Pictures

I forgot that I had never posted this here until Carolyn asked but just for FYI I will take progress pics for every 10 lbs I lose. These are awful pictures but you can kind of get a better idea maybe and tell that I have lost some..haha! I took my first picture in the pink shirt and decided Ill do all the pictures in the pink and little to my surprise when I put it on for my 20 lb pictures it was huge and made me look bigger so I decided even though I look terrible and had just had a hard workout Ill take one in workout clothes

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Another thing I did was do a collage through the years to see how much I changed and its kind of interesting to look back and see how the weight piled on

Weigh-In

I weighed in today and was actually pleasantly surprised. Now keep in mind I weighed in Monday at 186.3, up 4.5 lbs from Thursday (weighed in early due to trip) so I was kind of bummed I gained that much but was determined honestly to get off at least 2 lbs, maybe 3 of the 4.5 lbs if I was lucky and worked hard enough.

So this morning I weighed in at 182.2 which is a .4 lb gain for the week but that means I lost 4.1 of the 4.5 lbs I gained so I can definitely get that .4 off by next week and more!

So even though I did gain for the week Im just glad that I got off most of the weight I gained

Food Recommendations

Balsamic Dressing (3 tbsp)
WW Pts: 1
My new dressing of the week! I love this stuff and for 3 tbsp at our local cafeteria it was only 1 point and it had amazing flavor too!
Oscar Meyer Oven Roasted Turkey Breast (6 slices)
WW Pts: 1
For 6 slices of this for only 1 point how can you really beat it? My new invention this week with it was put some fat free butter spray heat it in a skillet and you get crispy turkey which its not quite the same as bacon but hey it isn’t near the calories and heart attack either.
Calypso Cafe Bean & Corn Salad
WW Pts: 1
So the other day I went to a new restaurant called Calypso Café which I found out is really good but of course it’s a local place. So I went to order my side items and couldn’t find anything else I wanted and my boss told me try this its wonderful. I was a bit skeptical because honestly I don’t like things like this but tried it on her recommendation and boy I was amazed it was low in fat, good for you and actually had an amazing flavor. So me being the one that likes to cook new things had to go find a recipe so if your not in Nashville try out this recipe and see what you think:
http://www.recipezaar.com/47660
A.1. New Orleans Cajun Marinade (1.5 tbsp.)
WW Pts: 1
Me being the girl that was raised practically in New Orleans because most of my family lived there I am always trying to find items that match my kick of spice well this one hit it all and more. If your up for a little more spice and kick and a great flavor this was awesome! It was a bit spicier than I thought but still a great flavor nonetheless
Eagle Brand Fat Free Sweetened Condensed Milk (1 tbsp)
WW Pts: 1
If anyone didn’t know this before Im a big “I hate fat free products” I have had too many bad instances of them (mainly dressings). So at first I said nah Im not going to try anything fat free but then I said sweetened condensed milk is so good and so sugary sweet to begin with how could it really be that bad so yeah I was right on the money it wasn’t bad and honestly not much of a difference so try it you wont be let down!
Feta Cheese (.2 cup)
WW Pts: 2
My other new love of the week is Feta cheese. I had only had it one time other than yesterday and wow its amazing and lower in fat, calories and all than regular cheddar cheese. Its so strong that you don’t need as much either. Now I just need to buy some at the store
100 calorie Baked Cheetos Mini Bites
WW Pts: 2
Who doesn’t love Cheetos but who really wants to deal with all that fat and calories? Well these then are the right hit for you too they give you a really good flavor and you get Cheetos.
Green Giant Seasoned Baby Vegetable Medley (1.5 cup)
WW Pts: 2
For the entire package it was only 2 pts, has a great flavor with a great hint of sauce. Add a little spice if you care to and you have one low fat good side with veggies!
String Cheese Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese
WW Pts: 2
Like I said in the earlier part of this week I was skeptical to try this but finally did and it scored big. I only got two thinking I don’t want to get too many just in case I don’t like it but now Ill have to go back to the store to get more..haha!
Hostess 100 calorie pack Carrot cake with Cream Cheese Icing
WW Pts: 2
If you haven’t gotten out to get these, go get some (that is if you can find them..haha!) but these are AMAZING! I cant wait to get my hands on the chocolate ones next but they didn’t have them. Oh and don’t forget your coupon from Hostess for them on their website for $1.00 OFF!!
TGIFridays Shrimp Key West
WW Pts: 5
This was one of their new smaller portions that Ive been wanting to try for some time, found a review on Women’s Health magazine on it and it scored big. They (Womens Health Magazine) stated to get a little lime on the side and squeeze some additional flavor all calorie free onto it and did just that and wow it was delicious! I love TGIFridays so this scored big in my mind for next time!
Lean Cuisine Vegetable Eggroll
WW Pts: 6
This had a wonderful flavor and Im all about some Chinese especially any that’s not too bad for you and is good that’s even better! It has a sauce that has ginger in it which is amazingly good!

DON’T TRY LIST.....STAY AWAY FROM!!
TGIFridays French Onion Soup
Im not even going to put the points because this was just NASTY! IM a huge, huge fan of French Onion Soup and about gagged at this, just nasty don’t try it!!
********************
Now after typing all that I didn’t realize I had tried so many items but like having all of them all in one place so in a few months I can look back on this list and see what I thought about it and hopefully it helps someone else out with getting some new items.

This weekend we are planning on hitting up Costco and the Farmers Market (fresh fruit and veggies) so hopefully Ill have a successful trip and maybe even get something new!

Weigh in report up next!

Thursday Food

Great day, great workout and Ill say it again (its been a while) what a difference a good workout and how it makes you feel so much better about your success.

So today for lunch I went for a walk, was going to come home go for another one but it started pouring down rain so that nixed that idea so I decided to jump on my elliptical machine at home which I do love it I got it for Christmas but I started gaining (thinking muscle) and I got discouraged and kind of got off my kick of it when I didnt see the pounds dropping (bad..yes but true) so anyway Im back on my kick of it I love that thing and really need to use it more. When I first got it I started at not being able to go 5minutes and 2.5 mph was a big deal. Well tonight I was at 30 minutes and up to 7.2 mph what a difference a few months truly makes and boy was I sweating to death after it and I drank (2) 16.9 oz of water it wore me out so much but made me feel so good to complete it.

My other small victory was today I totally forgot my salad dressing for my salad and we have a cafeteria at the university I work at so i went over there to get some and had so many options and didnt know how much calories/fat, etc was in any of them but when I went back I looked it up and the one I choose Balsamic was the lowest in every area so I was pretty proud of course and the salad turned out so good and not bad at all.

So tomorrow is weigh in and yeah Im about 99.9% sure Ill have a gain only because I gained so much over the weekend but my goal for the week was to make a substantial stride in getting that 4.5 lbs I gained off so well see what the final verdict is in the morning. Monday I weighed 186.3 so hopefully Ill be a lot less than that my goal is to get it all off by next week weigh in

Wednesday Food

Yesterday was another good day for food but still for some reason have not gotten my strength up to 100% I think its this gunk that my body is trying to get.

I did manage to get in a good walk/run after work never got one at lunch so told myself I had to do it after work. I think my little pup Brownie was my inspiration for the day. I of course tell her we are going to go walking and she loves to go and yes she really does know what that word means or she plays along pretty well one or the other. So anyway I was really trying to find an excuse to not go but little pup (who is a little pomeranian) looks up at me with her little puppy eyes like come on we have to go so finally I got my shoes on and we went and Im glad I did.

I also tried something new and its much lower in fat too. I like bacon but who really wants all that fat? I got a piece of turkey, put a little fat free butter spray in a skillet let it cook for a while and it actually had a much better flavor and it was even a bit crispy and you can have 6 pieces for only 1 point...SCORE!

Also, I was reading up in the Shape new magazine for the month and saw these new snacks called Quaker chocolate drizzle and yep they will be my next item to find they look delicious. Here is a picture just so you can drool too..haha! They are 1.9 pts and only 90 calories!

Tuesday Food

I just first want to say thank you girls so much for stopping by and posting it really has made my day. I know it sounds silly but just knowing people are reading along sure does help for sure. So if your a newbie and reading along feel free to post.

Wow what a day I have had so many new things and so many recommendations I cant believe they are all in one day. I have now discovered that I find fascination from finding items in the grocery store and not only that finding things that are either low in fat (all those sugary treats) or good for me. So today I went to the grocery store to pick up a few items and found well a few more to add to the buggy. All of these items Ill sum up on Friday but thought I would go ahead and post the items I found as well.

First Find: Hostess 100 calorie carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Ok I have been looking everywhere for these and could not find them anywhere and finally found them and even better they were on sale....SCORE! They were out of the chocolate ones or I would have added those to the buggy as well.

Second Find: Green Giant Vegetable medley. Im really not a very big fan of veggies but have been trying to find items to help me with this struggle and found these and they are wonderful. It has a little bit of a sauce so it doesnt taste so bland and I added a little bit of season salt and wow awesome. For the entire box (1.5 cups) its only 2 pts!!

Third Find: Ok so I know these have been around and well I have just been one of those Im not trying it because I didnt think I would like it. Well the string cheese has finally found a home here they are wonderful and for 2 pts it really does help to get filled up!

Recipe Discovery: So I love me some condensed milk, who doesnt but really dont want all that fat. so today I finally get the Eagle brand fat free version and thought how bad could this really be. Yeah well i honestly cant even tell a difference at all. So the recipe find....get one banana, pour 1 tbsp over the banana or put it on the side and dip it and you have not only a fruit but you have sweet...SCORE! Be warned though this stuff is delicious and can be quite addicting so Ill just warn you ahead of time. For a banana + 1 tbsp its only 2 pts as well so not bad at all. Of course I had to have 1.5 tbsp just because the stuff was so good..yum, yum!

So in other news, I havent been doing quite as well in exercise wise as I have been doing I dont know what my deal is. I have been getting in walks during lunch but other than that its been like a no show. I think Im coming down with some crud. My dear sweet hubby has came down with it pretty bad and I can just feel myself coming down with the crud. Then Im sure the TOM (time of the month) is approaching anyday now so my appetite (especially snacks) has been crazy. Oh and I also discovered that with my work I get a free gym membership and our boss took our entire office over today to show us around and pretty much a "you should get your butt over here" so well see if I make it, it is free, right so thats some motivation! The only thing is my work is not by our house so I would either have to go before work or right after work so maybe I can get my butt up early in the morning and do it sometime.

So thats my long summary of the day

Weekend

Well I weighed myself this morning and had gained 4.5 lbs Im just a little bummed because honestly I dont think I did that bad I splurged a few times but not very much but I ate at all kind of funky hours, never ate breakfast but honestly didnt think it would affect me that much but guess being on a schedule really does matter and eating breakfast does help. I just cant believe I gained that much. I tried to get in exercise to offset the little splurges. I walked a good 6-7 miles, swam laps in the pool. What killed me the most is there was no planning because I didnt know where we are going until we got there and Im a huge, huge planner and its helped me out so much. Then I was at the mercy will of stadium food which we all know who knows how many calories and fat is in that stuff. I think my biggest thing that Ive strived to do each and every day is never to eat after 7:30, max 8:00 and I pretty much ate almost every night that late or later which thats what happens sometimes when you are away.

I know today is a new day and I just have to keep my mind focused on the future and not what I gained today (because Ill seriously beat myself blue in the face with it)

TODAY is a new day, TODAY is a new day..must repeat over and over so I wont get myself down over it. I will weigh myself each and every day until Friday just to see that number go down.

In other news this weekend when I went to the outlet mall I scored a great deal and got two new workout tops for $20 from Adidas so Im planning on using those for sure!

Also, before our trip I took out quite a few pair of shorts I havent been able to wear in a long, long time and they actually fit I couldnt believe it! Then I had bought a really cute pair of shorts last summer and told myself I would fit into them well I finally did it and can now fit into them!

Good Articles & Quotes

I love to find great articles that really shed some light on things and I actually learn something new so here are a few good articles hope you enjoy them! Also a few quotes that I just had to keep these are wonderful!

Some people don't get fat because of overeating, but because of underexcercising

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called God, you will make it to the place called Success.

We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.

"I don't by any means deprive myself, but I say 'no' a lot."

If you take responsibility for yourself you will develop a hunger to accomplish your dreams.

5 Rules for a Healthy Diet

Some great lines from this article:
Your body is very resilient. Your mind, however, can be the opposite. A constant client excuse is to quit a program due to some type of misstep that they've stigmatized as "I've blown it." That's not how it works. As long as the big picture is better than what it was before, you'll be making progress. One bad meal, day, week, even month doesn't matter. All that matters is that you're moving in the right direction. As long as you're doing better than you were before, you'll feel and look better than you did before. And the fitter you become, the more your body programs itself to toss out those bad days. Translation: the more fit you are the more you can cheat. It's one of the best examples of being rewarded for your work in the natural world.

The more processed something is, the less fiber it usually contains. And fiber is your friend.

100 things about me

Ok so since Ive seen this on a few other blogs, thought I would finally take the time to do it.

1. I had to get my license a month before I turned 16, since my mom was about to have my little brother Austin (now 10) and me and my brother could have a ride to school, hey I wasn’t complaining I got my license early
2. I had everything you could possibly own New Kids on the block when I was little, I adored them.
3. No one could pronounce my last name and it was funny to see exactly how people would prounce it, but now my last name is much easier to pronounce.
4. I got whiplash twice in my life, once at the fair, another in a car wreck.
5. I totaled my car 1 month before I started college and had to wear a neck brace for two weeks, so that left me with two weeks to get a new vehicle. I ended up with a Ford Explorer.
6. When I totaled my car, I was talking to a good friend and she heard the whole thing and thought I was dead, her and several other friends tried to call and I was outside trying to figure out how bad my car was.
7. The guy that hit me was drunk, had no license and was in a stolen car. Little to say due to the wreck he went to jail.
8. My grandmother died in 1995 and I never thought life would ever be the same without her. It took almost a year just to be able to talk about it. She always told me that she would never see the day I got married and gave me an early present when I met “the one"
9. I was the crazy nut who graduated and got married in two weeks. Little to say I was about to lose my mind by the time the wedding came, I thought finals did it to me.
10. I got 3 tickets in 3 weeks when I was 16. My mom never found out about them until she wanted to switch insurance companies and they said your daughter has 3 tickets...good way to find out
11. Our first little puppy Kibbles was hit by a cop car and never stopped. Till this day it still irks me that the guy never even stopped.
12. I did not have my first kiss until I was 16.
13. I went to 3 different schools 9-12.
14. In 11th grade, I had three girls that were very jealous all due to a guy that liked me but didn’t like them. It got so vicious that they keyed my car, called and threatened me. I was scared for my life and ended up changing schools my senior year.
15. I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
16. When I first went to college I was in Interior Design and when I never got any sleep I then decided it wasn’t for me. Even though I had just talked one of my good friends into it, then I left, what a nice friend I am.
17. In high school I was very allergic to smoke, now just a little. It got so bad one time when one of my friends lit a cigarette that I thought I was going to have to be rushed to the hospital because I started hyperventilating and couldn’t breathe. So little to say I’ve never tried a cigarette after that because I was afraid I might die
18. In high school I was usually the designated driver, but then came to college and drank a bit more because we could just walk home. Now if I don’t drink at all.
19. After my freshman year in college I had a 1.0 GPA, on academic probation because of my partying and never studying.
20. My freshman roommate, Haley was the best roommate we had the best time. We would stay up until 3 or 4 in the mornings or go out and then have class at 8 am, how I ever did that I don’t know? We always had our afternoon naps where everyone knew to leave us alone, sometimes we would actually sleep other times we would pretend and just talk girly time.
21. My friend Becca hated her roommate my freshman year so she pretty much lived with me and Haley and she would come and steal our food and we would wonder where it went until one day we figured it out.
22. I had never been to the MSU campus before I signed papers to have a dorm here. Haley and Christen convinced me too, and I said hey if they like it here I can too. I didn’t see MSU until months later and hoped and prayed I liked it, because there was nothing I could do about it

Even if I had to be up for school the next day, little to say I got little sleep some nights and it was then I said no sex until I’m ready for a baby or until I get married....
26. I hate spiders with a passion and will scream bloody murder if I see one.

Tuesday Food

I was planning on doing my slim in 6 video as well as the combo of walking/running but I was already sore from it last night, then I went for a walk/run (trying to build myself up to running the entire time) and my legs just couldnt take it anymore so figured 45 minutes is still pretty good but of course I guess since I had plans for it I kind of beat myself up over it but also said I dont need to overdue myself either.

I feel like today I didnt do too bad, this morning we had a staff meeting and my boss brought in bagels and I totally forgot last week when she said it so as I was eating my NASTY bar (yes I really did find another one that was gross) I remember oh crap we get bagels this morning. I was really trying to eat it down since I really wanted something in my belly it had a little better taste then yesterday but nothing worthy of buying again. I tried two new lines (South Beach and Kashi) and hated both of them guess I need to just stick with my quaker blueberry muffin bars or my kelloggs protein bars so Ill know Ill be content. Anyway so back to the story..lol I only had half a bagel and ate the light cream cheese so I was pretty proud of myself for sure.

Ill go ahead and say one recommendation, one dont touch it for the week.

Good: Fiber One Oats & Peanut Butter bar...wow like the chocolate one wasnt good enough for me I had to go back and try the peanut butter one actually I went for something else and of course couldnt resist to see how good these were. Im not sure which one I like more, they both are amazingly good just depends on if you are on a chocolate fix or not.

Bad: Kashi GoLean Peanut Butter & Chocolate bar. This was just disgusting, dont try it, nasty..yuck..yuck! I think I kept eating it thinking it would get better and finally quit at 3/4 of the bar and thought to myself why did I eat this much so dont buy it, its nasty!!! You would think with the combo of chocolate & peanut butter anything would be good, actually this is the first thing Ive ever come across that wasnt good so yeah for my first try at Kashi not a good sign.

Ive also decided not to post all my calories and such but still keep up with it all in www.sparkpeople.com which Im still loving the site, its great and I love all the reports and how you can keep up with your food day by day!!

Sunday Food

Not a horrible day but not the greatest day either. I think the sugar and carbs got me for sure. With exercise I didnt go over points too badly and still have flex pts for the week which I dont plan on using really.

I dont know what it is about the weekend and snacking but somehow it always gets me its like I have nothing better to do than snack...haha!

Tomorrow starts my first full day on my slim in 6 workout and I do plan on taking pictures to see if I notice any difference in 6 weeks, hopefully so! If you arent familiar with the program here is the link to the website with the entire program and more information if you are interested:

Saturday Food

Today was a pretty successful day for sure. I did go over points a little but not too bad at all thats what flex points are for right?! I feel like I made pretty good choices even stuck to my half portions when going out and honestly this is probably the lowest points I have EVER had on a Saturday as thats usually my "I can eat a lot more points and not feel too guilty day" I give myself a big thumbs up for only 6 pts over for a Saturday.

I didnt get in any exercise today but honestly dont feel one bit guilty as Ive gotten in exercise every single other day this week so really needed a break.

Funny story though as Ive seen all these reviews for these Fiber One Oats & Chocolate bars Ive been looking everywhere for them and couldnt find them to save my life. Well I finally found them tonight and of course had to try them and boy they sure didnt let me down, they are devine!! If you find them be careful as they really are delicious and have a TON of fiber in them as well. Now that I know where to find them (Publix!) Ill definitely be buying these as soon as they run out. They even have another flavor as well in Peanut Butter so those will be the next hit list item.

I also decided to use pts with one decimal place so not sure how much of a difference that will work out too but figured its a bit more accurate as well.

This weekend will be my big splurge as me and Chad are heading to Atlanta and I know there will be lots of good food so I need to be really good this week and save all my points for that, cant wait!

Baked Tilapia

WW Pts: 2 (one fillet)

4 tilapia fillets
Fat free butter spray
Emerils Original essence seasoning (any will actually work)
Lemon

Spray tilapia filets with fat free butter spray on each side. Place in skillet season both sides with seasoning and sprinkle lemon juice (depending on your taste) on both sides. Cook for 10-15 minutes or shorter depending on how large the fish are and how fast your stove cooks.

This is such an easy recipe, very light and delicious!! Enjoy

Friday Food

Pretty successful day today for food. My points range is 24 and with exercise I was at 23 so not bad at all. I did eat a lot of my points in snacks rather than regular meals and for some reason I had a major sweet tooth and you know when you start eating sweets its almost like you cant stop but told myself I had a great weigh in today and could not let myself get out of control like that.

Tried a new simple recipe for tilapia which is great, simple and low in points so Ill post that next. I love trying new things, making them work and they are good and good for you!

Also tried the Pasta Roni Shells and White Cheddar and it was TERRIBLE do not try it..yuck! It looks so good on the box but the taste, nasty!

Also, I was thinking today other than really focusing on what my points include have I done anything different and how could I forget I havent eaten any red meat at all. After my little spell of gaining two weeks in a row and eating good and exercising I changed a few things and obviously they seem to be working quite well.

Food Recommendations

Lipton Diet Peach Tea
WW Pts: 0
This is another oldie but goodie. I used to drink this stuff all the time and remembered just how good it is. I put around 2.5 tbsp per glass of water and it gives you the taste of tea + peach flavoring so you don’t feel deprived with just plain water and its 0 pts so how can you beat it!

Quaker Baked Blueberry Muffin Bars
WW Pts: 2
No picture on this one as they seem to be very new but wow these are wonderful! Im a huge, huge blueberry muffin fan and when I saw these I had to try them out and Quaker sure didn’t let me down either! They have a ton of granola + blueberries in them. Heat them up for around 12-15 seconds and wow awesome for breakfast or a snack.
Banana Nut Crunch Cereal
WW Pts: 3
This is an oldie but goodie that Ive brought back. I used to eat this cereal all the time and last time when I went to the store remembered it. If you like banana nut bread you will love this. Best part about it is it has a good bit of fiber in it!

Tyson Southwestern Chicken Breast Strips (3 oz.)
WW Pts: 3
I put these in fajitas and wow these are wonderful. They have a great taste and would be wonderful in just about anything you can think of with grilled chicken.

Thursday Food

Another good day down and yep a little low on calories and points but why eat more if you arent hungry just to say you got in the right amount of points.

Also, I must emphasize how much I just love the new line of Lean cuisine Brick Oven pizzas, devine and they are good for you, how about that one?!

Im ready tomorrow for weigh in, and Im hoping for a good weigh in, at least 1 lb but hopefully more. This morning I weighed myself and was down to 182.9 which is a 2.7 lb loss since Friday!!

I just got a collection of new DVDs from Beach body I was planning on doing them tonight but turns out that UPS didnt deliver until after 7 so Ill do them tomorrow. The series is the slim in 6 program which is supposed to be pretty good. I never thought I would enjoy working out as much as I do but love it, its almost like brushing your teeth just a part of your day and if I dont workout and have plans to, it always puts me in a bad mood.

Also, I found a new site today for tracking your food, what a great site for information as well:
http://www.sparkpeople.com I have also added this site under the links on the sidebar. Enjoy!

Ill also post tomorrow the food recommendations for this week.
