Weigh In Shock!

So I weighed in this morning and couldnt believe the number I got..it read 176.9. Me thinking no way could I have had a loss I didnt do so hot this week step back on and sure enough reads the same.

So I was very pleasantly surprised with a loss of .7 lbs I still cant believe it but hey Ill take it and run! That means Im over my 30 lb goal which means progress pictures coming soon (just need to find some time..soon!)

Hopefully by next week things will be a little more normal but this week has just been insane with moving, packing things and finishing out my last week of work!

Wednesday Food

So yesterday was quite a bit crazy and instead of going back posting that menu Ill just go ahead and post today. I did track yesterday but with work + home being absolutely insane its been tough to do much of anything else:)

Today for lunch we had a huge party at work they had all kinds of bad stuff and I feel like I did pretty well, not excellent but much better than "before" I tried to eat more in the fruits area but of course fruit isnt going to fill you up for lunch either.

Then for dinner I had some leftovers from the other night at dave and busters so instead of wasting such good stuff I decided I would go ahead eat it and it wouldnt be in my face anymore. well I look up nutritional info and I knew it had a good bit but didnt realize it would have that much so lesson learned for sure.

Back to the Grind..Monday, Monday!

Well today was my first day back tracking and to make things a little more interesting we had PF Changs for our lunch out with work talk about a welcome day back to work.

This week has already started off quite insane but I know Ill make it. At least Im home for well our last final week sleeping in my bed.

Because of such a large lunch I just wasnt hungry for dinner. My water consumption has gone way down and I really need to get back to my usual water intake. Sweet tea has been in my diet everyday at least once if not twice and Ive GOT to cut that down and now.

Weigh In Success

Well I weighed in this morning for my official WI and weighed in at 177.6 which puts me .1 shy of 30 lbs so I know I can definitely do that by next week.

Thats puts me at a loss of 1.1 lbs lost for the week and Im quite happy with that since its been such a tough week and I didnt even track one day so I have to be quite proud of myself for sure for that accomplishment alone. I did gain a bit from the other day but it probably was due to me not eating anything but lunch the day before I weighed in so Im not holding that out as a true loss/gain.

Hopefully starting Monday Ill be back to normal as well be back home and be back to posting my menu but internet time this week has been very scarce.

Hope all of you have had a fabulous week and Ill try to catch up with you maybe over the weekend when we get back. Thank you for all the fabulous comments as well they have made my week.

Yes I really am still alive

Well after a few days of not posting Ive gotten a free moment to post. This week my food has been so scattered but I have done well but have not been tracking one day which Im not sure if thats a good or bad thing quite frankly. I think I almost needed a break from tracking so Im glad that Ive been able to do it and still lose weight.

I did bring my scale (I sure couldnt forget that) and weighed in this morning and have managed to reach my 30 lb goal..wooo hoo! I was down to 177.3 which is a 1.4 lb loss since Friday so go me! I hope I can keep it up for my friday weigh in

In other news I had an interview on Monday, second interview today and got offered the job so go me.

So as you can see Ive been having a pretty fabulous week so far!!

Hope everyone else is doing well Ill try to check in with you when I get some free time!

Weigh-In Success!

Just had a quick moment to post about weigh in and well thats about it. Work has been insanely crazy.

Weighed in this morning and was down .1 lbs, such a small loss but hey a loss is a loss so Ill take it! I got AF last night + all our eating out this week I feel like Im pretty lucky I didnt gain.

I will try to check in as much as possible next week but not sure If I will get a chance to post much so if I go MIA for a few days dont worry Ill be back but it will be a tough two weeks!

Wednesday Food

Much, much better day yesterday. I stayed pretty close to points with my exercise, sodium was at almost a normal level at 2566 mg, sugar was still a tad high but a little lower as well at 65. I know this sounds so odd but I can tell such a major difference from eating less sodium. I dont feel nearly as bloated and just having a much better day has really helped for sure.

Besides the sweet tea and protein bar my sugar would have only been at 23 g so its still a work in progress but at least its moving in the right direction.

I got in two servings of fruits today so go me, over what I wanted to be at but still not exactly perfect

For my splurges/victories of the day: I got a burger but instead of getting a big ole burger I got the kids size. Much smaller burger and much less calories, fat, and pts then got the kids fries of course too. Of course Chad was teasing me the entire time saying I was too old to order a kids meal and of course I told him you are never too old and its just the right portion for a meal instead of the huge, huge portions most places give you. Then on top of that instead of getting my usual at least 2 or 3 glasses of tea I stuck with the one kids cup of sweet tea.

Then for dinner the flatbread melt is absolutely amazing but has a bit of points for sure. I took off the ranch sauce which wasnt loaded in calories in fat but did lower the points by about 1.5 and it tasted amazingly good without it. I got it on the side thinking I would try it I tried one dab and about puked the sauce I thought was pretty nasty Im not a fan of bellpepers so I didnt have those on either so it took off a few but not much.

Next week will be pretty crazy as we will be going down to look for a house and all that fun jazz so if Im kind of scarce a few days thats why. We will be officially moving down on April 30 but depending on when our house sells we may leave our stuff at our house so its all depending on the sale of the house for now!

Im hoping for maybe a small loss but dont think it will be anything over a pound but Ill see in the morning!

Tuesday Food

Yesterday was an ok day, nothing grand. I knew we were going out to TGIF for probably our last time for a while so I ate a smaller lunch and kind of saved up my pts for that. I still went over but not horribly considering as much as I had in the high calorie range. TGIF's fries and their sesame jack chicken strips are to die for I thought to myself when else am I going to get this again. Then afterwards I felt horrible for my decisions but what could I do after I already ate it? Move on and accept it. The sodium of the items were unreal. If I dont get my sodium content down I sware I might just explode. I love how with sparkpeople you can compare each day to others and see how well or how bad you did, great option and I use it all the time!

Sodium: Just to show how much of a problem I obviously have with sodium over a 6 day span I have consumed 26,182 mg of sodium..YIKES! Divide that by 6 and Im at an average of 4363 per day, not good at all. Eating out is absolutely killing this and yes I do need to work better on my control of items and sodium content for sure. I should be at no more than 2300-2500 mg a day is my goal.

Sugar: For my sugar (another area Ive been focusing on) for a 6 day period its at 436, divide by 6 and Im at an average of 72 per day. Still need to focus on getting this one down but Im doing much better at it but still needs some work.

For the fruit and veggie thing: I think Ive been doing much, much better at this and focusing on getting in at least one of either one and Ive been succeeding but still a work in progress for sure.

For my success of the day yesterday: I actually turned down a chocolate krispy kreme doughnut and those are one of my favorites so go me

I dont know if anyone else has seen these but Sparkpeople has calendars each month with different themes I think they are pretty cool. This month is:
30 days to Greater Happiness

Last Months was 30 days to a Healthier Diet which has some wonderful stuff

Monday Food

Much, much better today which really helped me to feel reenergized and feeling like I can really tackle this thing of losing weight and making a healthier lifestyle. I have to remember that I didnt gain all of this weigh in one day it took many, many days. Its how you rebound and bounce back to how you succeed the greatest or how I define it I guess. Somedays I really have to give myself a peptalk which usually helps or realize how far Ive come and how far I still want to keep tracking. This isnt a one day changes its a lifestyle and lifetime committment.

Yesterday was nice enough to get in a nice long walk it was around 60ish and by the end of the week its supposed to get up to 74 but only to drop off for a few days. Hopefully it wont be too bad. This 30 degree crap I dont like especially in April?!

Weekend..ehhh

So the past week-1.5 weeks Ive really been struggling to keep in tune, not get off board and just been in an overall funk. Im not sure what my deal is but Ive got to get out of it Im better than this:)

The weather has been so cold and its not helping. I love our walks and well our walks have been cut down/out and yeah I should have done something else but it bummed me out so I just didnt do much of anything. I love summer, hot and being outside so now that the weather is starting to warm back up maybe that will help..

We have been eating out so much and thats not helping much either. Im going to try to cook in some this week. Next week we are going to be at the mercy will of my parents because we will be down there for a week. The next week we will be packing/moving so we wont have any pots/pans because they will be packed up.

Today has been much better so I may just post all that tomorrow;)

I have kept up with my food and will just post the summary part of it:

Friday
cals: 2400
fat: 103
Sodium: 4539
WW Pts: 52

Saturday
cals: 1814
fat: 49
Sodium: 3197
WW Pts: 36

Sunday

Hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!

Weigh-In Success!

I weighed in this morning and was down .5 lbs I honestly didnt think I was going to have a loss at all so I was pleasantly surprised

That brings my grand total now to 28.7 lbs and weighing in at 178.8

2006 total was 13.3 lbs + 2007 WL is at 15.4 lbs

Also another thing is since this will be the last WI that I wont have it just to see if beef really does make a difference. Chad and I gave up beef for lent and since Easter is Sunday Im craving a big ole burger but does beef really make a difference? I lost 9.7 lbs during Lent so yeah I think it does make a difference for sure but I do miss it

Food Recommendations

Alright so I totally slacked out last week and didnt do this so here is two weeks worth.
Italian Herb Flat out Wrap
WW Pts: 1
These are absolutely amazing and are huge! I loved these with chicken salad or pretty much anything you could think of sandwich wise. I liked to put mine in the toaster get it a little crispy and fabulous!
Bruegger's Light Herb Garlic Cream Cheese (1 tbsp.)
WW Pts: 1
I had this cream cheese at a work meeting and it was amazing. For 1 tbsp which should cover about ½ a bagel its only 1 point. Its very rich and doesn’t taste anything but fat stuff but its light.
LeSeur Very Young Small Early Peas (1 cup)
WW Pts: 1
This is one of my favorite veggies that I can handle. These peas are really good and small. I usually cook them in a little parkay FF butter spray with some emeril’s seasoning and for the entire small little can (not the regular size you know the 1 or 2 person serving can?) its only 1 point. These are pretty much the only peas I will eat.
Quaker Quakes Rice Cakes Caramel Corn (10 cakes)
WW Pts: 2
These are absolutely delicious, have a great flavor and for 10 cakes and only 2 points can you really find much else? These are so addictive though so be sure to put some on a plate and not to just grab out of a bag because that would get dangerous..haha!
Wheat Pasta (4-5 oz)
WW Pts: 2-3
I was very, very skeptical to try this but finally a friend convinced me to try it at Old Spaghetti Factory when we went and I was amazed that it was good. I guess I always thought it would be gross. Now to convince Chad to try it is a different story..haha!
Chick-Fil-A Icedream Cone
WW Pts: 4
I have this major fascination with Chick-Fil-A I love their stuff and I love how they have such healthy options but lets be real what desserts do you go there if you want one. Well their ice cream is out of this world delicious and for 4 pts I can put this in my mouth but their brownie and shakes Ill pass on because its not worth that many pts and calories.

Thursday Food

So last night we went to Jersey Mikes and I havent been there in ages thought oh Ill get the chicken philly its grilled chicken how bad can it be. Yeah well it was a lot higher than I thought. I did get wheat bread so I know its probably a little lower and didnt think about it until afterwards that it had cheese on it so it was all melted on there I usually dont ever get cheese and finally said oh screw it Ill leave it on there. It was really good but a bit much pts and calorie wise. I got a hot chocolate it was one of those gourmet hot chocolates and I honestly have no clue how many pts it has so I just guessed (what else could I really do..haha!)

The good of yesterday was my sodium was down a lot...it was down to 2401 when pretty much all week I have been between 3600-3900 mg of sodium so small victories Sugar was down as well to 49 so its getting better just taking time and really working on it to get it there

Weigh in up next!

Wednesday Food

So not too bad on my food for the day but OMG the sodium I consumed was unreal and I didnt even realize the things that had so much in it. Subways Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki had 1200 so it had more than the spicy chicken sandwich at Wendys..can anyone else figure this equation out because it still blows my mind?! I finally gave into my spicy chicken craving and got one and still stayed pretty close to points so not too bad. Oh and the other shocking thing..a pickle? How much sodium do you think it has? Any guesses? 400 mg that also blows my mind I love pickles but that much? Wow

My victory of the day was we went to Wendys (we are seriously getting down to the barebone food but why buy groceries when we will be gone for one week and then moving right afterwards) and instead of eating the fattening caesar dressing I came home put my light dressing on it and I think it tasted better too but dont tell Wendys

Thanks for all the wonderful comments I really do enjoy reading each and every comment it truly helps to keep me on track and knowing someone will kick my butt..yep thats great! Today wasnt a bad day but Ive got to get my sodium down, it was up to 3600 mg..yikes it should be around 2300 or less so no wonder Im gaining weight way too much sodium thats for sure. Sugar is a bit better Ive been eating around 65-90 g of sugar and today I was at 53 so thats better. Carbs, fat, protein were all a bit better so hopefully all that stuff will help out.

I got in 2 fruits (yes, yes I love my bananas) and lettuce so yeah I beat my April goal for today..woo hoo!!

Monday Food

So yes I still really am alive I promise I didnt go anywhere just been incredibly busy. We will actually be moving about 6 hours away in a few weeks so if i go missing thats why. This will be a tough month with moving, not being able to cook and all that good jazz but Im ready to get this month off to a great start and lose even more!

The weekend has been so-so I didnt indulge in anything but did get a shake and ate a little higher breakfast which had too much sodium so I feel like Im taking in all that and still trying to get all the sugar and sodium out of my system for now. I feel like this blimp that is majorly bloated..haha yes I know TMI right?! I got in a ton of exercise this weekend but my lovely Monday morning to see how I did scale report...I was up 2 lbs I really wanted to beat the scale to no extent but yes Its still surviving for now.

Also Im on the 12 months of Health, Fitness, and Fun Group so I thought I would outline some of my goals for April
*workout 5X a week (this month will probably be the toughest for this one but at least 30 minutes of something additional)
*eat at least one fruit or veggie each day (something I am still working on)
*cut down on sodium and sugars
I can do this, just need some accountability and someone that will come kick my butt if I dont..haha!
