Quotes

I love finding great quotes and if you havent been over to sparkpeople yet they have a great little section with lots of them. I added a rotating quote to the bottom which will update everyday and change. I wish I could make it a tad smaller but ahh it will work for now. I cant wait to see the great quotes each day that it will change to. So anyway here is a few that I thought I would add this morning, Enjoy!

“The best inspiration is not to outdo others, but to outdo ourselves.”

“Inspiring people are vitamins for our spirits. They come in all kinds of disguises and descriptions. If you open your heart to being inspired, they will appear.”

“There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs.”

“I don’t know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.”

“The minute you start talking about what you're going to do if you lose, you have lost.”

“I can’t imagine a person becoming a success who doesn’t give this game of life everything he’s got.”

“Success is going from failure to failure without a loss of enthusiasm.”

“If you spend too much time working on your weaknesses, all you end up with is a lot of strong weaknesses.”

“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.”

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called God, you will make it to the place called Success.

We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.

"I don't by any means deprive myself, but I say 'no' a lot."

If you take responsibility for yourself you will develop a hunger to accomplish your dreams.

Some great lines from this article:
Your body is very resilient. Your mind, however, can be the opposite. A constant client excuse is to quit a program due to some type of misstep that they've stigmatized as "I've blown it." That's not how it works. As long as the big picture is better than what it was before, you'll be making progress. One bad meal, day, week, even month doesn't matter. All that matters is that you're moving in the right direction. As long as you're doing better than you were before, you'll feel and look better than you did before. And the fitter you become, the more your body programs itself to toss out those bad days. Translation: the more fit you are the more you can cheat. It's one of the best examples of being rewarded for your work in the natural world.

The more processed something is, the less fiber it usually contains. And fiber is your friend.
